What is your name and role?

My name is Sara Ahmed, and I am a Nursery Practitioner Assistant at Monkey Puzzle East Sheen.

How did you find the Apprenticeship Scheme process?

I am currently in the process of my Apprenticeship scheme and its start has been straightforward and smooth thus far.

How are you supported at Monkey Puzzle to develop and progress your career? (What training/development do you access)

Management have been supportive in allowing me to complete my training and coursework, when necessary, as well as checking in on how I am progressing and if I need any support. I have been encouraged and supported on this journey, which I appreciate.

What fills your heart with happiness about your role?

The support and appreciation from all aspects of my role at Monkey Puzzle brings me happiness. Being able to come into work and experience a positive environment is great and fills me with joy every time i step into the building.

What is your potential next step?

My potential next steps include completing my Level 3 Apprenticeship and aiming to become a Room Leader for toddler room.

What would you say to anyone looking to become an Early Years apprentice?

I would really suggest that anyone interested in an apprenticeship should apply! It allows you to gain a greater understanding of the role and the children you work with, which is immensely important.
